A new Italian restaurant, Forno D’Oro, has been welcomed into the Chelsea area community, offering a perfect pizza and pasta pre-game for all those fans heading to Racket NYC.
Forno D’Oro is a Roman Italian restaurant in New York City led by Chef Salvatore Olivella and 3 nephews from Italy. The authentic homestyle meal means quite a variance depending one what type of dining you’re hoping for. Fangirls, like us, are looking for somethin quick, and their pizza was definitely a great option. However, we’re total suckers for fresh burrata. Forno D’Oro didn’t disappoint in that regard, either.
The restaurant, nestled off of 20th St., had a perfect mix of food and some fun cocktails. With drinks at venues becoming increasingly pricey, we love to sip down some glasses beforehand, and the nearby restaurant gave us the chance to do so. Forno D’Oro opened up in June, a perfect timing for the summer swing of concerts.

While we’re all about a quick meal, the Italian hot spot is family-based and homestyle inspired. So, if you have some extra time, it’s definitely worth leaning into a full meal packed with apps, entrees, and desserts.
What I particularly loved about the location was that family energy. Forno D’Oro was the perfect pre-concert place since it was filled with high-energy and good vibes. The chef and family weren’t afraid to be part of the action, leading the restaurant almost as if it was an attraction in and of itself.
By the way, if you’re in Brooklyn and stopping by Baby’s All Right, we’ve got the perfect spot.
